In early August Ellery McLanahan visited Paris, Budapest and Vienna over a two week period. Each city exhibited a liveliness and excitement that was striking.

During the trip Ellery met the head of Investment Banking for a leading banking institution in the UAE. He can now open the door for U.S. and European companies that want to enter the important markets in Dubai, as well as the balance of the UAE. Joint venture financing or direct loan participation is available for ventures that qualify and that meet the developement needs of the UAE. Industries which the bank has already considered participation in are energy related industry, local aviation support, trading partnerships, construction development - especially infrastructure.
